Welcome to the finale of Yashahime's first season.

Welcome also to Toonami's second-to-last premiere episode of 2021.

Well, unless Naruto Shippuden will be on after The Animatrix next week.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon
Episode 24
"Sesshomaru's Daughter"

Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha are left to confront Kirinmaru, but in the face of overwhelming power, they must pay a great price.

NOTE: This is the THIRD of three premiere episodes of Yashahime, to air tonight at 1:30am E.

Those who post spoilers will also pay a great price.

Previously on Yashahime: First you don't want to die, now you want to stay dead. Make up your mind!

If I didn't know better, I'd say they were setting us up for a climactic battle.

Last time: So where's the dragon that gives wishes?

The Great Dog Demon of the West never forgave him for dropping a house on his sister and stealing her shoes.

Why does this show have so many flashbacks? It's bloody confusing.

Are we not demons? We are Devo.

Ugh, even worse, this is a flashback we've seen already.

Great, they made the same mistake with Harley Quinn back in August. Either they catch this mistake now or make up for it soon.

Okay, yeah, wrong episode. The hell Toonami?

Alright, guess I'm outta here. I'll catch the final episode on streaming or something.

The version on the app is also episode 21. I'm wondering if VIZ sent them the wrong tape.

When it happened with Sword Art Online, the version on the app was the correct one.

With Yashahime being one of the few shows left, this kind of feels like a blessing in disguise as Toonami's extremely short on content and getting one more possible way to fill a slot with a Yashahime episode helps them fill a slot. Considering the fact there are six episodes dubbed so far for season 2, probably two more by the time Toonami's done with marathons, doubling up Yashahime can only work so long as a temporary band aid.

BY the way, Demarco has said they will air the finale and when that will be will be announced soon.

Some people think that next week they should cut the Rick and Morty Akihabara and Summer Meets God shorts for it (the Samurai and Shogun shorts can't be cut because Part 2 is a Toonami premiere) but unless they get the correct tape from VIZ by then, it's not happening.

Well, I went ahead and watched the final episode on Hulu. Here are my comments.

“Living in this world is hard”
No foolin’

“Oh, thanks a lot, dad”

In other words, he’s kind of a badass.

Sesshomaru’s daughter? Which one?

“I was unattached to it. Though not as unattached as I am to my daughters.”

Will everyone please make up their mind as to whether they want to kill or die?

And the Rainbow Pearls are scattered again. After we spent a whole season gathering them.

“Peace bro, I’m out.”

Man, Riku just be betrayin’ everyone.

And he leaves his daughters like lambs to the slaughter. Father of the friggin’ year.

Kirinmaru trying to pull off the Sanji look.

“Rin is crying!”
I’ll alert the media.

“Dangit! I knew we should’ve gotten that blade sharpened.”

“I’ll just pull a Frieza and hurt someone she cares about.”

Oh……jeez.

I guess she finally got her Dream Butterfly……*sniff*

Whoa. Did Moroha just go through puberty?

“My name is Towa Higurashi. You killed my sister. Prepare to die.”

And now they have Stands, I guess.

He’s a fightoholic. He can’t live without fightohol.

Oh, it’s over.

And after all that they didn’t even beat Kirinmaru.

Hey jerkwad. Your daughter’s dead. Hope you’re happy.

Well…that’s a bummer way to end a season. But of course there is a second season. Kinda goes without saying.

1. Hoping it's the right episode this time.

2. And they've got the original Cowboy Bebop back too! Good timing.

No recap. I know it's been three weeks, but odds are I've already given you one.

Spare the pearls and spoil the child, huh?

"That explains why grandpa Myoga decided to make a run for it."
That doesn't narrow down the possible reasons.

So is this continuing next week, or do we know yet?
