Previously on Black Clover:
The mud monster tries to kill Neige but Asta protects him. Gauche has a flashback to their childhood when a relative killed their noble parents, stole their money and threw Gauche and Marie into the street. Gauche turned to thievery to keep Marie from starving but was sent to prison and Marie was taken in by Sister Theresa. Gauche changes his mind when Marie tells him she was proud he became a Magic Knight, so he leaves her with Marco outside the cave and goes back. He sees Asta is still fighting the mud monster so Gauche attacks Sally but is badly beaten. Asta ends up saving him, causing Gauche to remember first joining the Bulls. He decides, for the first time in his life, to support someone else. A new spell appears in his Grimoire and he casts it using the magic mirror inside his left eye, creating dozens of Asta mirror clones and they defeat the mud monster together. Neige swears revenge on Sally while Asta offers to be his friend. Neige, Gauche and Sister Theresa are suddenly attacked by Licht, leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Like Yuno, Licht owns a 4 leaf clover Grimoire.

Tonight: After defeating Sally and Baro, Asta and Gauche suddenly end up having to face Licht, the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Licht's attacks are too fast for Asta to see, and he gets injured.

Previously on Black Clover: No Gauche, you still suck. Just...go away. Just shut up and go away.

"No one is pure. You're all tainted in sin from the moment of your birth."

Oh, so he's a Christian.

"It is the strong who have been victimized."

Oh, so he's also a white supremacist.

Every time they run this intro, it saves them money on animation.

Even when the nun is dying, everything's about Marie with this guy.

And Dr. Cheerleader exits.

Yeah, stick your villainous justification up your ass, wouldja?

And Byakkuya Yami swoops in and saves everyone.

"Oh yeah, I'm on camera, aren't I?...I LOVE BOOZE AND GETTING DRUNK!"

"That's what people call a joke."
Maybe YOU call it that.

A katana. From his home country, the land of the sun. Gee, I wonder what that's supposed to be an allegory for.

Yes, let's awkwardly inject some backstory into this fight.

He's shooting neon tally marks at him.

Which Last Exile episode did he escape from?

"Let me tell you a story."
NO NO PLEASE NO BACKSTORY--AAGGGGGH!

Oh, spare us your life stories.

Once upon a time this battle ended and I lived happily ever after. The end.

You know in my history of seeing anime characters using darkness as a superpower, Yami's doesn't impress me.

Ironic, since his name actually means "Dark"

Well, he's basically a white mage, so yeah, of course he can use healing magic.

Yeah, your a magic swordsman. We kinda picked up on that.

You know Asta, I'd tell you to shut up, but I just know it would be a waste of typing.

I like to think that Yami's isn't his real name and he gave it to himself

"Carrying on a conversation mid-battle--do they think we're fools?"
What do they think this is, Bleach?

Compare this to All Might speaking to Midoriya in My Hero Academia. Show your work.

And Reverend Albino Dreadlocks reveals his whipping fetish.

I swear, Yami is basically how Chris Sabat describes voicing Zoro's character, but without the context as to what makes Zoro who he is... no offense to Chris of course.

Not all of Family Guy has aged well (and he knows this - hell, he's friends with the PTC president now) but I genuinely think Seth MacFarlane is a really good guy.

Imagine a broadcast TV network giving someone who worked at the Golden Age of Cartoon Network the opportunity to worked on a show, and doing 8 interviews, only to completely ghosted him for weeks for absolutely no reason.

Try to wrap your head around on that one, folks.

Seriously. Explain that to me, Memorable Entertainment Television? :/
Didn't notice that the site was back...

I'll start off by saying X-Men 97 has been a blast to watch. As someone who grew up exposed to the films and cameos on other shows, it was definitely a different treat seeing how both iterations of the franchise handle the characters and their world.
Professor X's speech in today's episode was powerful ... nuff said.
