Probably my least favorite Aqua teen ever. It just wasn't all that great.

Those are some good looking tacos ya got there Tyler.

On to the show.......
It was the best of the new three, but only by a small margin. The comdey was pretty much flat that remained throughout the show, and twists were pretty much excluded. For a comedy show it was pretty good. For an ATHF episode, it sucked. Where was the surprise ending? All we got was Carls exploding head and an unneeded conversation. They didn't even fix the car.

It was certainly amusing. I can think of worse episodes that have aired this season. And compared to the new Brak and Sealab, it was astounding.

You really cut it close with the talkback this week Landstander. Anyway, time for the revew.

Getting Cars And Trying To Make Them Work Isn't What The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Episode Review of "Kidney Car" Is About, Because They Goof Off On That.

Truley a good episode. I was laughing the whole time, from Dr Weird appearing behind that Mexican Guy when he was trying to steal his chain (notice it was the Mexican Guy from "Revenge Of The Trees") to Shake stealing Carl's Car to use for derby racing to Meatwad trying to sell bead wigs (notice how Frylock said they really aren't doing detective work anymore. So it's offical: They moved on past detectives. Just in case anyone had any question about that) to Meatwad getting Carl's broken down Carl because he was too disgusting and infected for a Kidney transplant to Frylock trying to fix said car but Shake and Meatwad distracting him (whether it was with Shake pretending he's some creature by holding up the flashlight or Meatwad bringing out his toys and dolls to the car and then not turning on the ignition) to Meatwad pretending to drive in the Car to Shake dressing up as a cop and "pulling him over" and then driving in the car himself to trying attach that motor to it. Didn't like Carl exploding his head at the end though. Not for it's shock vaule or disgusting value, just that... do we really need to end each of these episodes latley with non- continuity like deaths? It's getting old. Anyway, this episode gets an A.

What's an episode of ATHF without something happening to Carl..
  • I didn't catch the beginning so I'm probably more confused and negative right now. I'll watch the reair and see if my views change.
  • Funny interaction with Frylock and Meatwad:
Frylock - "..and there's fluids coming out of the dash!"
Meatwad - "That's the softdrink machine."
  • Stupid funny fake driving and the cop routine with shake and meatwad.
  • Nice car estimate... Krypton delivery.. :D
  • Nice engine tore up Carl's rental car.
  • Stupid funny having Carl's head explode.
Overall a A-. Had more stupid funny jokes this time around. Not ROTFLMAO type of comedy.. Hopefully watching the reair will give me more laughs.

EDIT: Changed B- grade to A- after watching the reairing.

Well, there's nothing like mostly "meh" reviews to suck the air out of my enjoyment of the show, after-the-fact. Me, I was laughing at lots of stuff on ATHF.

Funny Line of the Night (correct me if I'm remembering it wrong):

CARL: "...They (the police) don't come to my house anymore."

Boxy Brown again: :) :D :D :)

Carl and MasterShake having their usual great lines tonight.

Loved Carl's new white car getting sucked into the big whaddaycallit on the old car.

I tuned in a bit late for Dr. Evil, but I think I caught the actual joke, so it worked out well.

Perfect, Carl's head exploding. For one thing, it wasn't gross this time. More to the point: I loved the idea that poor Carl takes so much crap from Our Heroes that his head just up and 'splodes! I put that right with the time he just jumped out his 2nd story window. I don't see it as only a "random" explosion for shock value. There was a reason it happened, surreal as it was :D

A+ from me.

unpopular opinion: I think Verizon would been the better owner of fox than Disney, especially since Disney can easily rework their touchstone brand back to its former glory
You wanna know something I found out? According to Spoiler TV, not ONE airing of Checkered Past programs has gotten into the top 200 cable repeats of the week in terms of ratings. Even FXX, with the loss of Spectrum devastating it, cracked it with the Family Guy primetime repeats. And when it was still on Spectrum, Simpsons reruns in the same timeslot got at least 200K. Talk about embarrasing.
