About time. Though I must say as much as the previous two episodes weren't that great, in retrospect it's interesting that this show actually made a kind of story arc. The "Carl's New Neighbors" Arc, if you will.
"And then we play Ignore The Fryman" was a good chuckle, as was Garlic Champagne, the re-gifting, and Shake's misogynistic comment about women.
In truth I had hoped this episode would of had a more pissed off Frylock just toast the landlord and whatever threat moved into Carl's house and the teens had offically just gone back. Guess that would of been too easy/not funny random enough though. So instead the landlord's defeated putting some liquid in him and the teens are free to go while Carl is horribly killed. Well at least that's back to basics so hopefully now we can put that arc behind us. Since you can obviously tell by this one that the teens are still the strongest part of the show as all they're scenes were the best. Frylock trying to get Carl to bust them out, Meatwad and Shake trying to support the monster's divorce and offer him they're advice, Master Shake talking about the girlfriend's "constantly womanly demands", Frylock having to lie about being on the phone and Meatwad telling the truth, pin the tail on the shake and bobbing for Meatwads (and Carl admitting they sound like fun games) and the teens at the birthday party. The end and beginning were kind of bleh but really a solid ep that at least gets back the teens who will now hopefully be fully funny without Carl needing to be the main star like the last couple of times.
Dug the whole 'arc' thing (is it over?), very funny episode. Markula had some pretty funny lines, not so much what he said but how he said it, and since the Teens are back, the show will be in tight form for the rest of the season.
I'd like Paul and Markula to return in some form, but they still need to bring back a few favorites from last season. I'm also really digging the animation - there's just more of it while still staying extremely conservative, it has a neat flair to it other AS originals sort of lack in their conservativeness (Brak Show for example).
That was hilarious. There have been so many epic moments in the past three episodes, but Carl dumping the garlic on Markula was probably the best. Awesome music with it too. Defintley the best episode so far but it's not just because the aqua teens came back. Carl and Markula were the highlight.
not bad! finally Carl gets some vengance but is then sadly killed off AGAIN I wouldn't mind that Paul monster guy returning he seemed fun but no more stupid Markula please! he was never funny!
I really don't like it how Frylock is just as uncaring as the other Aqua Teens now. I remember that he used to be the responsible one. But, with the Tera Patrick episode and now this one, he doesn't seem to give a damn if Carl is killed anymore.
Come to my party....there will be ICE-CREAM CAKE......WOOOOHhhh
...and thus Markula and this trilogy of episodes comes to an end? (or not who knows with this show). This was probably my favorite neighbor......the long opening pause to GIGANTIC MONSTER might have been my biggest laugh. Markula has grown on me, a typical Matt Maillero character whos both a monster and total nerd. (with a robot voice and crazier stories he'd sound like someone a lil more familiar). I did like how excited he got over his 4040th b-day party, sucks garlic champagne had to ruin it.
I just realized something. Toonami is currently in the middle of the Dressrosa arc of One Piece (episode 63 of 118), which aired in Japan a decade ago.
The rotation of PlutoTV's One Piece channel currently goes all the way to the END of Dressrosa.
Toonami's run on One Piece has fallen so behind that it's being outpaced by FAST streamers.
Adult Swim was made so that more adults could watch CN (and especially for adult ADVERTISERS to advertise)
But if adults are the primary viewer base for CN as a whole, and also younger skewing shows are being moved to adult swim, then what’s the point of adult swim
