Awesome Dr. Weird, especially since I love BBQ...

That's a lot of paper cups...

Battlefield Earth Cups, about as worthless as the movie itself.

Wow. Shake dug real fast.

Are they making fun of X-Files here?

I like the parallel universe-thingy.

I never did see Blair Witch Project.

Gotta love evil demons talking about Vogue. And Shake's cracks at Frylock about reading it.

No bacon? Awww...

This reminds me of the Egyptian demon robot dude from Season 1.

Meatwad tricked Shake again!

Shake can really chew.

This conversation makes as much sense as Big O Episode 26.

It was a contest? o_O LOL! Awesome ending!

Three things:

I thought the parallel animation style was very Don Hertzfeldt-esque. My brother thought it looked like Squee!. I also thought that the triangular figures' voice was H. Jon Benjamin again, and I think that the last 5 seconds of the episode left me laughing as hard as any Dr. Weird episode.

Not as good as the last few episodes, but it was still good. I loved how the evil voice kept trying to get Shake to eat the Broodwich and the conversation between Jerry and the other guy was great.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the animation the the parallel universe. It was very Don Hertsfeldt esque.

Because the bone wife, the "contest," and the brain surgery came out of nowhere and was cool.

Mainly the brain surgery, and the sudden 3 cuts from "Huh?" to "EAT IT!" to the ax chop. Out of nowhere.

H. Jon Benjamin had to have been the triangle. I swear I've seen that animation style but I can't recall where...

I really liked this one.

Dr. Weird - Another excellent one. The comic timing really sold the bit.

The alternate universe (a netherworld?) - I loved the drawing/animation style. I've never seen Rejected, so I didn't have a point of reference. Regardless of Don Hertzfelt (I gotta look up that name online to settle my curiosity), I'd love to see most of an ATHF episode in that world someday.

Aw, no Carl again. I thought at one point Shake would try to get him to eat the Broodwich (he tried that with Meatwad instead).

i enjoyed this one.. let's see where my notes are.

Ah, screw my notes.

Dr wierd's segment of being filled full of barbecue sauce was so hilarious. i wanted to see him pop though!

That was one mean sandwich and alternate reality shake kept slipping into.. where he slowly wound down his destiny to being axed @_@

finally, i guess they wanted to improve the place a bit. with all those roses... it was so nice to see fire effects and water like that, the quality of this episode is so good it hurts :)

i thought that one-eyed dude wanting to make two half shakes out of a master shake, was a parody jab at plankton of spongebob squarepants... !?! wierd.

now that was creepy in the underground under their house.. that voice definently wanted shake to eat that sandwich...nice maneuvering the dude into madness, then mindlessness and finally lifelessness.

No carl this week, i guess. but still a solid episode.

Notes?

Ah, maybe THAT'S where I've gone wrong! :D

(Actually, the above sounds like it could be a Dr. Weird opening!)

Aqua Teen Hunger Force "Broodwich" Episode Review.

"There's a chance this will work."
"You said it wouldn't work."
"There's a chance... this won't work!

Nice first words, and then Shake digging the front for treasure, the narrator's voice, the flashes to the cartoon world (they remind me of Homestar Runner's "Crazy Cartoon" Strongbad E-Mail though) to Meatwad tricking Shake to explaining about the Broodwich to Shake passing the tests to the voice actually have Shake get chopped gets this a good grade of an A+.

Too tired to say much else. Very long Big O review I did. Read it.

Highlights of "Broodwich" included the bit with Vogue, and the weird animation sequence.

Out of 5, I give it 3.5.

This was a good one.

The characters in that other dimension looked like they were from South Park.

That voice was funny too.

Gotta love random humor and biding for time.

IMO, one of the best episodes ever.

Anyone notice something different about this review?

"H. Jon Benjamin had to have been the triangle."

Yes, he was credited in the end.

"Aw, no Carl again."

Yeah, that's why "Broodwich" wasn't as good as the last few ATHF's. Perhaps he's with Meatwad's wife.

Also, I noticed on the schedule that November 9 at 11:30 is blank. Is there a new ATHF next week?
