"The fourth season of battle shonen series Blue Exorcist will come to Crunchyroll October 5, according to a recently released thirty second promo video. Here is that promo and the earlier released longer trailer:


What we can gleam from this trailer is that this next arc appears to be the ever common exam arc. Very little else about the plot is easily discerned as to what we can expect in terms of plot.

Viz’s official synopsis of the series as a whole:

“Raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist, Rin Okumura never knew his real father. One day a fateful argument with Father Fujimoto forces Rin to face a terrible truth—the blood of the demon lord Satan runs in Rin’s veins! Rin swears to defeat Satan, but doing that means entering the mysterious True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist himself. Can Rin fight demons and keep his infernal bloodline a secret? It won’t be easy, especially when drawing his father’s sword releases the demonic power within him!”"

Well, Toonami rerunning season one should give this series a little more attention. I'm catching up to season three (whose dub is out) and yikes, the production values were kinda low. Those CGI zombies were hilarious. The Illuminati were interesting villains and that season did provide a gut wrenching backstory for Izumo, but yeah Voln was a downgrade compared to A-1. Season 4's dub will probably not stream until the sub is finished, so it will be a while before I can check that out.

amazarashi is great though I was expecting they'd bring back Uverworld .
