I guess it wasn't Bakugone for long hurrhurr

From my blog:
Over the summer, Spin Master made a big move by becoming a publicly traded company. Before the Toronto-based toy manufacturer could hit the stock exchange, management had to sell would-be investors on the business. In one of those investor presentations, the company confirmed they’re currently developing a reboot of the Bakugan franchise. In an age where nothing successful ever stays dead, it was only an inevitability for a series that brought in $800 million to be revived.

Not much in the way of info right now.

Oh god no. I liked this show for, like, two seasons and then I started realizing its cheapness. And then watching them became more of a chore. The franchise bombed in Japan, why waste money animating a new one?!

Bakugan promos were hilarious.

Computer: "Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Intruders have been confirmed in Bakugan Interspace!"
Voice-over: "Aliens from another universe are about to start a war!"
Blond girl: "I TRUSTED YOU, REN!!"
Ren: "Thanks to hypnosis, everyone in Bakugan Interspace will be in my control!"
Voice-over: "Can everyone be trusted? Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders, every weekday at 5:30pm on Cartoon Network!"

Can you guess who can't be trusted? I can't. It isn't Ren, is it?

Somehow, I doubt that Cartoon Network will return to air the series. If I was a betting man, I'd bet on Netflix grabbing this.

Nelvana usually lands better US deals than secondary channels. I can see it running on Cartoon Network, but getting death slotted from day-1.

It would be kind of weird to see Cartoon Network running this series given that they lost interest in even airing toyetic anime series. I'm leading more towards Disney XD, but if Nelvana does somehow get this reboot on Cartoon Network, they'll definitely give it the death slot treatment.

I liked the first 2 Bakugan shows so i'll give this one a shot. The other 2 however were pretty boring for me and Dan became more annoying and self-centered than usual. I also disliked how they kept changing the female characters for some reason.

Another show that goes from 22 to 11 minutes, not sure what to expect since it it's Bakugan I always felt the show handled 22 minutes well, can't wait to see how will it do with 11 minutes.

I have nothing against the 11-minute runtime, but most shows that utilize that are comedies, and I'm not sure that's the direction I wanted Bakugan to go.

That does make me wonder if they're hoping to put the series on Cartoon Network. Nearly all of Cartoon Network's original shows are in the eleven minute format, so maybe they thought that doing the same thing would make it more likely for Cartoon Network to pick it up. I'd be surprised if they would be interested in Bakugan when they didn't want to keep Pokemon on their lineup, but that was one of the first thoughts that came to my mind.

Wow, Bakugan was a big hit that just came and went. Maybe because a whole of toyetic / card based battle cartoons came out too much at once (like Monsuno, Gormiti, Redakai) that caused that genre to collapse (with Yu-Gi-Oh remaining, of course. I remember when Bakugan was getting a movie:

Even though the show will get an 11-minute season, if CN gets it, they’ll just put it on the death slot, maybe just air it on Boomerang.
