Well, this is surprising. How can this be the first female titled film, if they have Captain Marvel?

I get that Danvers is not Mar-Vell, but whatever. . . This seems to get me thinking the Blade rumor might come to fruition.

They moved Captain Marvel to 2019, as The Mary Sue mentions. I thought Ant-Man was great, and of course, those who saw either the Earth's Mightiest Heroes or even the United They Stand cartoon know Ant-Man and Wasp were founding members of The Avengers, so I think this means they will have a bigger role in 2019's Infinity War Part II.

I certainly didn't love Ant-Man and barely liked it. This is a case of an okay script, but the direction was sorely lacking. No, I'm not a hardcore Edgar Wright fan, but I can see him in it, and someone else doing a lackluster adaptation. Kinda like bad remakes, elements of the original remain, but nowhere near close to it.

Anyway, still curious about this, as it seems to suggest we may get alot backstory as well. The prequel rumors make me wonder if they will merge telling two adventures into one.

I also don't think Ant-Man was the studio's best work but it was still a very solid film and honestly like with Thor I think a sequel can fix problems with the original. Obviously a big focus this time around will be on The Wasp and if those rumors are still true I'm sure a big focus will be on getting the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne who I think Michael Douglas wanted to have Catherine Zeta Jones play her so we'll see if that is going to still happen.

I really enjoyed Ant-Man, and as a big fan of Ant-Man and The Wasp I have to say that I'm really happy to be seeing a sequel come out and that Wasp is headlining it as well :D.

Looking forward to seeing Hope debut as Wasp, her dynamic/romance with Scott develop, and hopefully really seeing Janet in the flesh this time ;).

Also hope we'll get to see a flashback of classic Ant-Man and Wasp (Hank and Janet).

I loved the first Ant-Man movie and I love the news. I think in the MCU we got the best of both worlds, two generations of Ant-Man and Wasp. Sure it's a shame we haven't learned more about the former pair but in due time. We're only just beginning to unravel the history of this universe as it moves forward to the Infinity War.

Honestly, I could be totally off, but I think choosing such an unusual title like that, leaves them to revealing more about both past and present Ant Men and Wasps.

I agree and I would love to see a film that included young Michael Douglas and Catherina Zeta-Jones of any age along with older Peggy Carter. It's funny that a real life couple who are 25 years apart in age could play a movie couple who is the same age.

I thought Douglas was great as Pym, and they handled him a lot better then I expected them too (which I believe Reed had a lot to with), so I'd definitely be happy to have him back :D.

Be cool if we get to see more of Hank in his prime, even if they then have to cast a younger actor for the role :).
