Here are 2 interesting tweets I recently stumbled across. Both are from the moderator of the Sofia The First wiki. For a lot of Disney Junior shows, if it's a girl in the leading role, she'll be human. If it's a boy in the leading role, then he'll be some sort of animal/creature. To give a few examples:

Doc McStuffins, Princess Sofia (Sofia The First), Kate (Kate And Mim Mim) Princess Elena (Elena Of Avalor) , Nancy Clancy (Fancy Nancy), Kit Secord (The Rocketeer), and Mira (Mira Royal Detective) are all humans .

Oso (Special Agent Oso), Henry Hugglemonster, Kion (The Lion Guard), Mickey (Roadster Racers series), Bingo & Rolly (Puppy Dog Pals), Kermit (Muppet Babies 2018), and Pip & Freddy (TOTS) are all animals/creatures (bear, monster, lion, mouse, dogs, frog, penguin and flamingo) .

There are some exceptions, such as with Jake And The Neverland Pirates and Miles From Tomorrowland being humans, and Sheriff Callie and Vampirina respectively being a cat and a vampire, but that's it.

Why do you think that is?

It's a coincidence.
It clearly isn't. Disney has realized that programs targetting girls are profitable, apparently more so than programs targetting boys. (look at what happened with Disney XD. Sure, Disney XD is in less American households, but Disney is an international company)

Disney Junior programs targetting girls:
-Doc McStuffins
-Elena of Avalor
-Vampirina
-Fancy Nancy
-The Rocketeer (upcoming)
-Whisker Haven (upcoming)
-Mira, Royal Detective (upcoming)

Programs targetting boys:
-Spidey and his Amazing Friends (upcoming)

Programs targetting both:
-The Lion Guard
-Mickey and the Roadster Racers
-Puppy Dog Pals
-Muppet Babies
-T.O.T.S.
-PJ Masks
-Gigantosaurus
-Bluey (upcoming)
-Pikwik (upcoming)

-Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (reruns)

That not what the thread premise is about. It's about why boy main characters are animals and girls are human. I repeat: It's a coincidence.

Fone Bone grips stuffed Elmo tightly and rocks back and forth. Just hold out until November. Things will get better. They'll have to.
Current events are freaking terrifying me.

She's only a teenager (she's either 13 or 14; I've seen contradictory sources), yet is really making a name for herself in college.
