I've been on a Scooby-Doo moment and I was wondering, if anyone knows anything similar to "Scooby-Doo! Where Are You?" and "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" Both old and new.
Many have said that The Walt Disney Company was to blame for the downfall of animation and, probably, entertainment in general.
But, from what i have looked upon the history, I believed that Disney was just another victim of what society agrees and disagrees with.
Perhaps, they no longer want...
Though, I guess, it depends on what the show is about.
I say, if it's episodic, I give it 2 to 3 seasons with 26 episodes each.
But, if it's a serial... than, I don't know.
What would your opinion be?
Since the start of the 2010s, Cartoons(and Anime) just simply cut to black without warning.
I'm beginning to miss fade-outs, iris-out(or ins?), and other fun ways to end an episode.
Especially sucks that Steven Universe dropped its Star-Shaped Iris-Out for...nothing!
Only preschool shows end...
How do you feel about trope? Me personally, I'm not so sure.
I feel that it makes the music more annoying and makes certain scenes that "moves to the actions of music" either unnatural or forced, making comedic actions looking like they're trying too hard to be funny. Butch Hartman shows in a...
Is there anything the general audience want or are asking for from the gaming industry? Do they even want anything at all?
What makes certain kids of games and stuff sell to the audience? Is it the hype? is it the quality? is it the extras? Or is it something else?
Western and Eastern.
When it comes to parents, they barely comprehend the advances of what video games technology can really do. They often throw manuals away, smei-important stuff that enhances the experiences(AR Cards), tend to not take important advance and/or tips from savvy experts(often they just let them do...
Do you think there will ever be a chance of a traditional fighter, that akin to the King of Fighters, with Nintendo Characters ever occuring?
Would you want a traditional fighter with Nintendo characters?
I think one based on the concept of "The King of Fighters" would work!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVr7oVeM3Rw
It debuted after July 12th. Now, at least 3 showings occur everyday.
The premise is that a group of intergalactic anthropomorphic animal characters are running a spacestation just to make smoothies for customers from across the galaxy.
It is a bit...
How many seasons should a show have before it starts to lose its luster, as most would believe?
I would have say that 3 to 4 seasons would be it. Thought, The Simpson was considered good for 10 season before it stared to slip.
Incidentally, Courage the Cowardly dog on Cartoon Network only had...
I'm sorry if this seems controversial, but I just want to get this out of my head.
They can put as many criminals and lawbreakers in prison as they want, but that just add more bill for resources just to feed them, won't it?
And many doubt the prisoners will ever change their ways.
I have...
Are you a fan of music with or without words?
I, myself, prefer melodies because it really showcases the music better. I can bet a better understanding of the sounds and notes.
I also believe that instrumental tunes can be used in any situation.
Remember the four movies that were shown on Toonami in December? Looking back, I see that Trigun: Badlands Rumble offered a little difference compared to the other three. Namely, the villain.
In the other 3 movies, the villain is a powerful being willing to either to rule or destroy the world...
I have been hearing much news about animation. Majority about fans complaining. But, what about Live Action material? Is it doing any better? We know that North America cares about it much more than animation.
I still hate The CW for getting Reaper the pink slip.
I said this before about the Silent Protagonist(or Heroic Mime), but I just feel like getting it out. There are three things that annoy me about the Heroic Mime.
1. The less your character talks, more wore words NPC's put in his mouth. It majority ends up with the player thinking, "I never said...
Because Honestly, I think animation benefits more for visual gags and some silly moments than pure seriousness.
I say with comedic moments, animators could get away with much more, as well as take advantage of making some very good animation moments.
I want to try again, this time to make is more specific... if that's okay with everyone else.
I'll keep this simple. Just name your favorite characters, music, and/or otherwise in the category of the eighteen Pocket Monster Elements you think fits best.. This is based off the Pokemon Type Memes...
I don't think there's any other form of fiction that has more then 17... no, 18 Elemental Types. If anyone know another, feel free to tell.
I'll keep this simple. Just name your favorite characters, music, and/or otherwise in the category of the eighteen Pocket Monster Elements you think fits...
How would you feel if an Anime VA(Kyle Hebert, Chris Sabat, Lisa Ortiz, etc.) voice a cartoon character?
...would anyone even want that?
...or has this been done before?
What would you say of a Cartoon VA(Rob Paulsen, Tom Kenny, Cree Summer, etc.) voice an anime character?
...would anyone want that to happen?
...or has this happened before?
Is it me, or do anime fans show/have no knowledge nor respect for older anime? They know nor care not a bit about the true history of Japanmation. Not the ones I met
And I mean those before 1990.
I have seen bashings of stuff like Astro Boy and Sazae-San for have "ugly" art. I don't think...
Nintendo has one, Capcom has one(Onimusha Blade Warriors), Shonen Jump has... a few, Guilty Gear has one, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has one, Cartoon Network has one, and now, Sony. Who's gonna be next?
Hmm... considering that they made a motion controlled minigame title, a tennis game, AND a...
Because I've been watching animation for too long.
I think the last L-A show I watched was Reaper.
I always hear complaints about animation, majority how bad it has become. What about Live-Action material?
I'm willing to try anything as long as it doesn't have a laugh track.
Though, I'm...
If the Animation Age Ghetto went in reverse.
Animation back then was never meant for children in the first place. What if it stayed that way from then to now?
Thinking about it, why children? They don't truly understand writing and art like teens and adults... do they?
Moments where villains just do just very evil, naughty things for little to no gain, all just for the sake for evil villainy.
The villain can range from pretty lame to completely horrifying and sadistic.
Some villains are proud of being evil. Mojo Jojo and HIM are great examples.
What would...
Because I made one for Mother's Day.
I heard that Many of them were Jerkasses.
Though, Harold from Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil and Daddo from Henry Hugglemonster were my favorites.
NOTE: Yeah, I did this late, but I don't care.
The newest show on Disney Junior. Has anyone seen it.
Lara Jill Miller voices the titular character. This is the first time I have seen her play a MALE character.
Well, it's Mother's Day, so why not have a conversation of the best(and worst) mothers Disney has to offer?
Do you have a personal favorite?
I 'm more fond of Agent K Daring and Honey Buttowski myself.
Oh, and don't forget about Disney TV Animation, Pixar Studios, and Studio Ghibli(the films...
When localizing, or even getting a sub, should everything be translated?
Majority, names and titles?
I have seen some bickering on whether of not Iku Musune should be translated as "Squid Girl." Some say it should not, as that see the former as "who she is" and not "what she is."
Either the remakes improved on the original or they didn't do them Justice.
Some put Kirby Super Star Ultra in the former, while some pure Nightmare in Dreamland in the latter.
What originals or remakes did you prefer?
Was there an adaptation you liked/preferred more than the original?
An adaptation you know that either did the original justice, or insulted the original?
"...or do they simply want More of the Same?"
I said this somewhere else. Some fans and critics often complain that what they consider to be true works of art are overshadowed by more shallower material.
I have been hearing different views and thoughts in what animation should be.
How animation should be created. How animation should move of flow, whether or not story and plot is important, entertainment value, how society sees and views animation, what's right and appropriate for society, how...
AUGH! The Simpsons Fans!
Is Family Guy really THAT Bad? "Oh, It's a Ripoff!" Like The Simpsons was ever original. Did people forget the Flintstones exist?
Family Guy got a little better. Well... somewhat. But The Simpsons has been lacking for the past 10 seasons, and yet people still say...
I always had a problem with Turn-Based Combat. I'm not really sure about letting the wheel of fate decide whether I should get hit or not.
This is what people like in they Role-Playing Adventures?
Some Pokemon Elements really have it bad. Namely, Fire and Ice. There were barely none of the former in the 4th Generation, and the latter gets crippled within each generation. Electricity also suffers(damn Pikaclones).
Also, Water is WAY overused and overrated.
Or, which type do you think...
