I figure I should add some additional perspective to this topic:
The 2010s were a major renaissance for TV animation in general. Disney, Cartoon Network, and even freaking DISCOVERY (which would temporarily rebrand as The Hub at this time) were experimenting with storyboard-driven storytelling...
That's exactly right.
The only Toonami competitor I can remember existing post-revival was Chiller's anime block in 2015. It was cancelled after 4 weeks. I don't think anyone else has tried since.
The hype for Boruto faded out years ago, and it's been gone from the Toonami lineup for so long that I don't think they even have any interest in bringing it back.
TV Insider shows "To Be Announced" throughout Toonami's schedule on April 21. Looks like they still don't have a replacement for Lycoris Recoil lined up yet.
That's a shame. Boomerang was really improving under him. I hope his replacement continues his streak. I'd hate to see another network lineup degrade to just spamming the same 5 shows all week.

The show, IMO, is bad. After Nickelodeon somehow gained success by putting Fred (who was the biggest YouTuber at the time) on their network, CN tried to jump on the bandwagon of getting a popular YouTuber on their channel as well, and they picked The Annoying Orange.
The problem with The...

I've been wanting it to shut down for YEARS. I want it gone so Nick can stop unfairly dumping their new shows there, forcing families to pay a higher cable tier just to finish the shows they wanted to watch. Then they will have no choice but to air those shows IN THEIR ENTIRETY on the main network.
