Let's see what DVDs did I get in 2008:
To make it easier for me I will do this in sections.
$3 Big Lots Purchases
Spaceballs - Collector's Edition (very good find)
Hellboy - Unrated Director's Cut (3 Discs)
Action - The Complete Series
Flatliners
Cops & Robbersons
Urban Legend...
Certain members on this forum that believe their opinions are the law and think that their favorite TV shows, movies, cartoons, fandoms, etc are better than everyone elses.
Certain members on this forum who like to bash cartoons from a certain decade.
Certain members on this forum who go...
I don't like CC's Roasts either. Like Michael24 pointed out they are just vulgar for the sake of being vulgar.
The first one and last one I saw was Williams Shatner's and it was just terrible the only good thing was the end with him going off on everyone for making fun of him.
I actually...
Was that really necessary?
If you don't like G.I. Joe that's fine but to call it an abomination is just going to far.
I also think you are extremely wrong about cartoons from the 80s in general but that's your opinion.
Well in addition to Mr. Belvedere, Shout Factory is releasing three other shows I liked on DVD this year Blossom, My Two Dads and California Dreams.
January 27th
March 3rd
March 31st
Looks like Shout Factory will be getting a lot of my money this year.:)
I honestly don't care if I lose MTV and Nick, but I'm mad about losing Spike TV because that's the only way I can see TNA Impact the only show I watch during the week.
There were a lot of cartoons that did not have a finale.
Anyway it would have been nice if Kidd Video would have gotten a final episode in which they made it home from the Flipside.
On March 17, 2009 the first two seasons of Mr. Belvedere will finally be released on DVD from Shout Factory. I can't wait for this release.
If I must say that is great DVD packaging. No crappy photoshop just a good picture of the cast on the cover.
I honestly don't see what is so bad about Howard The Duck. The movie wasn't great but it really was not that bad either.
So what if it didn't do that well at the box office when it came out.
It was a movie about an alien duck from another dimension that was brought to earth. So what the...
They are doing it because they realize that the movie does have people that like it and they finally want to cash in on it. It's just that simple.
Even though Howard The Duck wasn't one of my favorite movies growing up I watched it a lot as a kid and I will definitely buy the DVD when it...
So I guess Mattel thinks they are the only company that can make dolls for girls?
It seems to me that Mattel just didn't like the fact that they had competition.
There are some TV shows that I wish wold get some sort of DVD release.
Head Of The Class
California Dreams
Hang Time
My Secret Identity
Mr. Belvedere
Hardcastle & McCormick
Out Of This World
After finally getting to see the entire film on Fearnet I really would love to have Blood Diner on DVD. The movie is just so wrong I loved it!
A picture for those who may not remember it.
I remember it. Probably one of my favorite cartoons of the 90s.
I really enjoyed Season 2 when they brought in the Witch and the Vault Keeper. I liked how they used to fight over who was going to host the show.
Finally!
Thank you for the news dtemplar.
Some good episodes especially Trick Or Treat, A Case of the Stubborns, The Odds, I'll Give You a Million, Word Processor of the Gods and It All Comes Out in the Wash. Classic episodes.
I'm actually looking forward to getting this when it comes out.
*sigh*
I really did not want to get back into this topic but I have to address some things.
First off I never said that they shouldn't have an African American character in the G.I. Joe movie. I just I understand why Heavy Duty is in it over the likes of Roadblock, Stalker or Doc.
Back...
To be perfectly frank, CN pretty much disgusts me now.
I am no CN fanboy by no means though I used to watch the channel regularly at one time. They just don't have anything animation wise that I care about.
I never really liked the Cartoon Cartoons, I don't like Anime, I'm beyond sick of...
My thoughts on this news.
I am sick of remakes!
There is no way that this can be better then the original movie.
Also the original Karate Kid while not perfect is a good movie and the first sequel was decent I will admit that part 3 and the Next Karate Kid sucked though...
Well, being a fan of FGB, I would recommend it just try not to take it seriously and you might enjoy it. Also it was not just made to "stick it" to the so called "Real" Ghostbusters.
Leaping Larry Jojo, you should get the He-Man boxsets because they have a lot of great extras on them.
I got Hellboy - The Director's Cut (3 discs) from Big Lots yesterday for $3. I'm not really big into superhero / comic book movies, but I did actually like Hellboy (not in love with it). I was actually surprised to see the Director's Cut bosxet there for that much.
Another DVD I got from...
I liked Monstervision as well and I was mad when it got cancelled.
Two other USA shows that I liked that showed b movies was Saturday Nightmares and Commander USA's Groovy Movies.
Does anyone else remember this show?
It was a late night movie block that aired on Fridays and Saturdays back on the USA Network and was hosted by Rhonda Shear (:)) on Fridays and Gilbert Gottfried on Saturdays.
They would show an array of b-movies, horror, action, fantasy, sci-fi and comedy...
I'm not a fan of the HSM series at all, but I do hope it does good next week and beats Saw V because I absolutely hate that series.
So I wish High School Musicial 3 luck in beating that movie and being # 1 at the box office next week.
Paulina Gillis was a very underrated voice actor. I wish she did more work.
Anyway I remember C.O.P.S. it was one of favorite cartoons growing up. I'm shocked Hasbro hasn't tried to revive the toyline.
There are a lot of cartoons that would like to see reivived, but I feel they would just get messed up so I would rather they don't.
However, one cartoon I wouldn't mind them reviving is Recess. Because I really liked the characters and the concept of the show and I felt there was a lot they...
I remember Mr. Boogedy and Bride Of Boogedy. It would be nice to have them released on DVD someday.
Also I would like to have the made for TV Legend Of Sleepy Hollow with Jeff Goldblum released on DVD as well.
I just thought of some more films I would like to see released on DVD.
C.H.U.D. II: Bud The Chud
Ghost Fever (a haunted house comedy starring Sherman Helmsly)
The Video Dead
Just One Of The Girls (a movie similar to Just One Of The Guys starring Corey Haim)
Million Dollar Mystery (another...
I still haven't had a chance to watch an episode of the Suite Life On Deck yet.
I'm guessing that Ashley Tisdale will no longer be a part of the show.
It's sad when the only kids related shows currently on TV I can still watch is Zack & Cody, Life With Derek, and Wizards Of Waverly Place...
I got Gilligan's Island Season 1 and Season 3 boxsets since they were $14 each at Wal-Mart.
Also from the Wal-Mart $5 bin I got:
A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers (Divamax Edition)
Police...
Re-releases of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero boxsets and mini-series with some good special features along with the rest of season 2.
Also M.A.S.K. and the rest of Heathcliff and The Catillac Cats.
