It would make sense for Cartoonito to replace Discovery Family after the contract ends in 2025. Especially since they are slowly adding more younger skewing WBA/HB programs to the lineup every other month. I wonder if they would still keep the evening lineup of reality shows because I think DF...
I feel like the Cartoonito brand could live on as a Max exclusive hub. I know shows like Lucas The Spider returned to Max. And upcoming preschool shows like “Hop” is a Max exclusive.
I feel like Disney XD is kind of like how Nicktoons was during the end of its Nicktoons Network era to around 2015, where they aired repeats of modern cartoons from the main channel, occasional reruns of older shows, some live action, and acquired anime, and action oriented programs.
Yeah, I can’t see it shutting down either at this point. I really wish they would actually try and distribute it to more homes because I feel like WBD still cares about this brand.
I feel like this channel may stay longer since it does decent in ratings from where it’s at. I can definitely see TeenNick going off the air really soon.

My problem with Brian Robbins is that he only seems to be focused on reboots and spin offs of shows. And original new IPs like Middlemost Post and It’s Pony will seem to be neglected from Nickelodeon and getting 1-2 seasons max.
i feel like all of the current WB owned channels will stay but I do think Boomerang will likely merge with DF or closing down. HBO channels will probably stay, not sure about Cinemax. Most Discovery channels will stay intact but I can see low viewed channels like AHC, Destination America, and...
Yeah I can’t see Boomerang lasting long. I do think that it could possibly still exist as a hub on HBO Max for classic cartoons. But I can see the app and channel closing down for good. The app hasn’t had anything new really since 2020 and the channel is on autopilot. Plus the remaining Xfinity...
Here’s my predictions for CN, AS, Cartoonito, & Boomerang in 2022.
Cartoon Network-
Total Dramarama, Apple & Onion, DC Superhero Girls, & Mao Mao will end. Mao Mao S2 will be stealth dropped on HBO Max. The Powerpuff World show will be announced which will be a spin off on HBO Max. Ben 10 gets...
I could very well see that happening especially with the WB Discovery Merger. I do hope maybe there could be a classic block or something on Cartoon Network or even some family block on a Cartoonito channel that airs classics like T&J and Looney Tunes.
Yeah, I think it would probably make since to merge DF and Boomerang and make a linear Cartoonito channel and I think it would be nice to maybe add a block that can play older shows.
I’m split on Boomerang being rebranded into a Cartoonito Channel. Boomerang doesn’t really a lot of carriage and has been dropped from many providers like all the few Xfinity stations and Optimum, so it wouldn’t make since. I could see Discovery Family possibly rebrand to a Cartoonito channel if...
That wouldn’t make since because Nickelodeon might just not even finishing airing the show then. Plus Nicktoons is still doing fine in ratings as a premium channel so it wouldn’t make since to close it.
I don’t know even think they have any Marvel shows airing now that Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble ended. It’s probably just going to be an all rerun channel.
Here’s my predictions for Nickelodeon in 2021. Rugrats will premiere sometime in the Spring of 2021. Star Trek Prodigy will premiere in the Fall. Kamp Koral will make its cable debut in the summer of 2021. Middlemost Post will air a sneak peak in late 2021 with a full premiere in 2022. Big Nate...
