Which Hanna Barbera/WWE Crossover Movie Is The Best?

Somehow, I have seen all of these! I went with the Jetsons one, in part because it's the only substantial Jetsons project since 1990, so it's got that going for it. I suspect judged on its own merits the first Scooby might actually be the best one, it had a fairly good story, which fit the...

    Unpopular Opinions

James Gunn has about three jokes (1: someone says something awkward or weird 2: big guy is inarticulate and clumsy 3: a combination of 1 and 2) and they're wearing very thing. His Suicide Squad looks like it could be fun, but I already got tired of his humour in the trailer. As a fan of the...

New ThunderCats film in the works.

Not to be a killjoy, but I think it's worth taking a look at Adam Wingard's filmography since his breakthorugh with You're Next: . The Guest . Blair Witch . Death Note . Godzilla Vs Kong . Face/Off Sequel (announced) . Thundercats (announced) So one more original film and then a career of...

"Godzilla vs. Kong" Feature Talkback (Spoilers)

3 Stars for a last act that truly delivers the goods. A mediocre, occasionally irritating potboiler until then. I like this more than either of the previous Godzilla movies in the series, though if either of them, particularly King of the Monsters, had action scenes as well staged as this, it...

Demand for animated series with merpeople surging

Luckily I foresaw this coming and bought the copywrite for the term merpeople. You might say I've got it... Mer-made

    Unpopular Opinions

Interesting. I certainly have enjoyed more comedians than that, but I will say that as a rule I don't care for straight forward stand up comedy. If you ask me if I want to watch a Stand-Up Comedy Special or a film I don't think I'm going to like, 8 or 9 times out of 10 I would still go with the...

Are you talking about people who do stand-up specifically, or any and all comedy (including films, sketch shows, sitcoms etc.)?

Unconventional or unpopular opinions you have (re: animation)

Sponge Out of Water is my favourite of the SpongeBob movies. I don't know if I'd say it's *better* than the first movie per say, but as someone who was well into their teens when the first movie came out, it's closer to what I wanted when I went to see that movie; a goofy lark through...

What did you notice on a Re-Watch?

In the "Cape Fear" episode of The Simpsons, when Homer says "oh no, everybody come quick!" not only do the whole family run into the hallway, a little mouse runs out of its mousehole too. My memory was that Courage didn't talk (or barely talked) in the original What a Cartoon shorts, and then...

Powerpuff Girls Live Action CW Series In Development

Hmm, while I personally don't think Scrubs holds up at all, I do still have a soft spot for Faison, and while he seems a slightly odd fit for the character, I don't think they'd cast him if they were going with the "professor was abusive" vibe I thought they were hinting at in the earlier press...

The Fairly Odd Parents 20th aniversery

I believe the PS2\XBox\Gamecube game Breakin Da Rules also never got a PAL release. The follow up, Shadow Showdown, was a frequent sight in bargain bins here for years though (at least the PS2 version).

The Fairly Odd Parents 20th aniversery

I don't know that for a fact, but it sounds about right (I don't even recall seeing any Session 5 episodes on there TBH). I know a rival Channel (Channel 5) started showing some of the later Seasons at some point

The Fairly Odd Parents 20th aniversery

I was vaguely aware of it before, but I think the first time I saw any of it was in late 2003 on BBC2. I was 16 and I thought it was hilarious, it really reinvigorated my enthusiasm for animation (believe it or not I hadn't really seen any Spongebob at the time). Favourite episode? Not sure but...

Cartoons You Liked as a Kid but Now Hate as an Adult or Teen

It's hardly a classic, but I always thought The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3, despite having perhaps the most "this is a commercial" title of all time, was head and shoulders above the other American Mario cartoons. It's certainly the one that took the most direct inspiration from the games.

    Cartoons you find overhated/underrated

Bonkers (at least the Lucky Piquel episodes); yes it was derivative of Roger Rabbit, and yes Animaniacs dunked on it a couple of times; so what? It was a still a fun concept, and some episodes feature some of the best animation ever seen on television. Honestly it's one of the few Disney...
