Is it me or the state of kids tv now is becoming the modern equivalent to the state of 80s saturday morning tv where it was mostly toy or IP driven stuff that some were creatively bankupt and won't age well in a couple of years

Lord Almighty! What is up with Nickelodeon these days in the animation department, What are they doing with all these licensed IP's like Star Trek, Big Nate, Garfield, Monster High, Smurfs etc. Like what's next The Archies? Reviving Gumby?, making an animated...
If only Nick didn't go through corporate changes around that time so this show might've had a chance.

To be honest they were a hit or miss studio. There output was mostly subpar compared to Disney or Pixar or even Dreamworks. Although Ice Age got worse as the franchise went on
