So, I have been off and on the internet since 12/31 and even when on not very much. I went to the hospital that evening based on feeling extremely weak. Weak enough where it was hard for me to walk.

I have pre-existing health issues that has affected my walking before. However, this forced me to go to the hospital. I got to the hospital and after they checked me all in, gave me my Covid test. 2 hours later, they told me I tested positive. So they cleaned everywhere I had contact since I got to the hospital, and took me to the Covid ward.

Honestly, they asked me over and over again how long I had it. Almost interrogating me. When do I think I had it? How long? Am I exhibiting the obvious symptoms? Which had none. This went on that first week or two f the year. I was put in a room with three other men with the virus (I was the youngest) and these others were in horrible shape. Mostly coughing and wheezing. At this point I have caught a fever a few times. They gave me a flu shot on that first week, that I did not ask for.

Lots of different issues for me, but I am still in the hospital, and feeling alot better. I now must try to get my strength back return to normal and return home. If anyone is practices smoking and drinking or any other clearly unhealthy lifestyle, I can tell you this virus and the next strain will be extremely dangerous for you. I might have only been okay because of my age and I live a fairly healthy lifestyle. However when it hit, it hit hard.

People with a lot of fat between their organs ("visceral fat") experience a continuous immune response. Their immune system is disrupted.

Notice that visceral fat is invisible from the outside. If you are naturally thin, your body will still store too much visceral fat if you live unhealthy. If you are naturally a bit chubby but live a healthy life, you might not have too much visceral fat (but a lot of subcutaneous, "visible", mostly harmless fat).

So yeah, changing your diet and life style is more important than ever now. But in Dutch we already have a new word: coronakilo's (= corona kilograms/pounds), the weight gained during a lockdown

(Of course, a bit of visceral fat is useful to keep your organs in place and isolate them against temperature changes, it's only a problem when there is too much)

Phil Spector, famous for creating the Wall of Sound (and using it for his productions with numerous musical acts), and infamous for being convicted for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, has died in prison at the age of 81 from COVID-19.

Uh, most reports say natural causes, including your link.

"The cause was complications of Covid-19, his daughter, Nicole Audrey Spector, said. He was taken to San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp, Calif., on Dec. 31 and intubated in January, she said."

Although CNN, which claims natural cases, also says "An official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner for San Joaquin County", so...

Here is a quick re-cap of the recent Covid news from around the world:

Not included in that Guardian summary is that Norway is loosening its restrictions so kids can go back to school and you can have more guests over for lunch/dinner/etc. Bars & restaurants are still not allowed to serve alcoholic drinks. :p

I find it a bit concerning that there are legitimate mainstream reports of serious side effects and even deaths associated with the vaccines coming out. Was hoping I'd be wrong when I raised questions earlier. Sure, it's over time and "just" tens of cases from thousands or even millions of people, but still.

I do agree with Mostezli that overall people should be scared less mathematically. The low % are accurate.

What links do you have to "legitimate mainstream reports of serious side effects and even deaths"? In the USA or elsewhere?

I'm willing to believe the possibility of some side effects in a small measure of the population, but frankly, it's only been one month since the vaccines has started being distributed....

I have a child who just got a standard vaccine shot yesterday (not Covid-19 related), and it made her sick, she was throwing up last night, so yeah, people can have adverse reactions, especially in the first 48 hours, to certain vaccine shots, but I've not heard widespread reports on Covid-19 vaccine sickness.

There is different Covid-19 vaccines being distributed in different nations, so I'm willing to believe some are more effective than others, but "effectiveness" is not the same as "side effects".

This is correct. My Mom had the Pfizer vaccine recently and experienced some very mild side effects. A bit of headache, sore arm around the injection site and chills the day after the vaccine, but these were gone the day after that.

Just curious, has she had the 2nd dose yet? The Pfizer vaccine is a 2 part dose, I believe you have to wait a month inbetween doses (or so I heard).

FWIW, my parents got the first dose a week or so ago- no side effects to speak of. (not sure which they got, Pfiser or Moderna)

Well, the companies might want to downplay the deaths and side effects for profit, but the events are peculiar considering the timing shortly after getting the shot - in all cases we are talking about Pfizer and Moderna only and in many cases about already fragile people.

In America supposedly 55 people have died so far and many had allergy - mainstream ignoring it, but people on social media confirming it with screenshots from VAERS

It is good to remember that IF someone has severe side effects including death they cannot sue the companies.

Sure, it might all be just a coincidence, but at this point it's starting to seem that indeed the vaccines are not meant for everyone and that they were in some way rushed since their phase four studies, like with any vaccine, will end in two years and they are approved only for conditional emergency use - something that is not being mentioned enough for some reason even though it's right on the company website.

So, IF you need the vaccine, consult with your doctor first. And if don't need it and just want it, before asking your doctor think twice what are the benefits and risks for you personally - especially if you are young and healthy.

I think it's only right to put out also information that shows the cons, considering how much positive media attention this is getting, to make it more fair and even.

Regardless, again, overall the situation is far from bad and there's no need to be scared of anything. Just try to get your vitamins and nutrition through a balanced healthy diet, get enough sleep, go in nature, do something you enjoy and don't watch the news too much. Eventually it will all pass :)

VAERS, while an official government website, is meant to provide a way for anyone to submit reports of deaths/sicknesses following a vaccine, not for proof of the vaccine causing death. VAERS is a starting point, not the end declaration on the safeness of the vaccine. Some people could be outright lying to that website, or reporting deaths that have not been truly tied to the vaccine.

Also, I would ask you stick to reporting stats from less biased news sites.

I've reviewed some of your other links, and some come from more "mainstream" websites (like Forbes), and some of the other articles do provide sections where officials/scientist say there's no evidence of direct correlation between vaccination and the person's death.

For instance, this one:

In that article, they note that "preliminary results of the autopsy 'did not establish a direct relationship with the vaccine against Covid-19"

We're in the early days of the vaccine, and we run the risk of a lot of misinformation getting out. Sharing links to stories of people dying or getting sick following vaccination, on legitimate news sites, may be fine, but we'll need to keep things in perspective and examine the news carefully over the next several weeks.
