I think an easily solution for Alfred and Gordon would be to write them off. If some time has passed since TNBA, then Gordon could be replaced by Commissioner Montoya (or Bullock...). If this is a slightly older Batman, then it would make sense for him to lose his surrogate fathers.

Todd McFarlane announced more Batman Beyond figures yesterday. He released Terry pics a few weeks ago, but now the wave includes Shriek, Blight, and Batwoman Beyond.

Smith is friends with Paul Dini and Mark Hamill, so I think he's a pretty good source. And he knows what he's talking about—he named his daughter Harley! He's probably looked through these forums once or twice.
His podcast has been known to make news every now and then. I think the last time...
On Kevin Smith's most recent podcast, his co-host brought up rumors of a BTAS revival on HBO Max, and Smith validated them, saying he heard "from someone in the know" that WB has something in the works.

Still a marked improvement, though the original has its charm! I really hope the Blu Ray doc covers a bit of what went into this new remaster.
I'm only guessing, but if they were working with the original filmstock (negatives?) they received from Japan, it wouldn't have the edits Bruce and his American team did in the '90s. That stuff is lost to time, and would need to be digitally replicated.
This new version seems to preserve the...
If anything, this puts me at ease. They only could have gotten those details by going back to the original elements.
If you look at the original production illustrations, they match what we see here.
If I had to guess, the 1990s team darkened the original animation or added some kind of filter...
