  • i just realized the reason why Disney TVA had such a resurgence in the 2010's was because some execs who worked at Nick and CN moved over there. And some of them were responisible for greenlighting shows like Spongebob, Avatar, Dexter's Lab, PPG and etc. I guess that's why there were more artist/animator driven shows than in the 2000's where it was mostly writer created cartoons
finally manage to watch both the first couple of episodes of The Owl House and Glitch Techs. Both have a lot of potential and also a good start for this coming decade. Although i still think GT should've had a chance on the main Nick channel. I mean yeah TV is on life support maybe it would've not done well because lack of viewers......

....Like CN is already pushing some of their upcoming stuff to HBO MAX and the only upcoming shows (according to Wikipedia) are A We Bare Bears spin off and something from European Cartoon Network called Elliott from Earth. So i'm guessing that's the future for some of Nick and CN's in house cartoons. TV is really in a weird spot right now thanks to streaming in my opinion
seriously it's been a year and 4 months since Brian joined Nickelodeon and not 1 original animated show has been greenlit. Live Action has some but why not the animation side yet?
getting the rights to Garfield and being so proud of it is like saying getting the rights to another IP people barely remember or talk about it today like Felix the Cat, The Archies, or Gumby of all things. Like aside from ironic memes i haven't heard anyone talk about Garfield maybe since the Bill Murray movies in the 2000's

"Felix the Cat" "The Archies" "Gumby" *cough cough* Classic Media *cough cough*

Also, Garfield does still exist. Somehow.

I really don't think Garfield as an IP that 1 barely remembers. Better example would be Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

While it surely isn't as big now as it was in the '80s, '90s or even the 2000s, I also wouldn't call Garfield forgotten.

I suspect Nickelodeon has grand plans to make Garfield big again, but I don't know how that'll turn out.
i feel like the oscar voters are just old boomers who are so behind the times and barely watch any other movies. and that's probably the reason why pixar and disney movies keep winning.
You know Nick hasn't had a Nicktoon that was traditionally animated in almost 5 years. Last one was Pig Goat Banana Cricket and since then their shows are either in Toon Boom or Flash. It's probably just the creators choice on what format they want it animated in. But this kind of bugs me
Is Nickelodeon going to have an upfront or a press release of new show announcements this year?

I would say it's probably going to be like last year, where Nick releases a lot of news on a single day. ViacomCBS has been moving away from upfronts in recent years.

Hopefully when they do they'll announce some actual new stuff instead of shows based on old IP
so wait i'm lost why is El Tigre getting some negative attention right now?

It is because of Mr Enter's review. They didn't like the review at all. They obviously had good reasons why.

Screw that guy. He always treats his opinions like facts, and he basically hates anything that isn't an "Admirable Animation."
Yeah i am not going to support or watch any live action Disney film for about a couple of years maybe around 2022. The fact that the theatrical side is now just creatively bankrupt live action regurgitations and generic cgi special effects shlock and treat anything thats mid budget or original like black sheep i'll stop for now.

..... disney animation and pixar movies depending on what it is i'll still go see since at least they're more creative then whatever the live action division is putting out

Hopefully they don't butcher 20th Century Fox like that

Remember when I said The Dog and Pony Show should come to Qubo? Well, it's probably not happening. Since Discovery is a co producer it will probably end up on Discovery Family and Discovery Famiila.
Did anybody notice the error just tonight on Nick? At 7:57PMish after Despicable Me 2 error?
I love the smell of rain at night and the end of Daylight Savings here.
Scott Innes apparently put up his Christmas tree....in October. It looks pretty good though.
