I tried watching Once Upon a Time in America. I gave up after an hour into its three hour running time. I think that's fair. If a movie isn't doing anything for me in that amount of time, it's probably not going to. Shame too, because I heard good things about the longer version.
Watched Johnny Mnemonic for the first time today. Disappointed. I was hoping there would be more action in cyberspace, but most of it took place in real world 2021, which looked only slightly different than 1995.
A visual trope in anime I don't like? Characters who always have their eyes closed. Unless the character is blind, no human being ever walks around with their peepers shut. I feel like Mary Albright on 3rd Rock: "Open your DAMN eyes!"
They can't all be winners. I made it through about 15 minutes of Semi-Pro before turning it off. If a comedy movie hasn't tickled my funny bone in that amount of time, it's probably not going to improve.

Why does society keep devolving for the last century or so, why is America 50 years behind where it should’ve been? And anybody who tries to makes things better will be swept under the rug or get screwed over by cancer or disease.
I hate to get political here especially but for what happened today I can’t help
