  • Today marks the 10th Year Anniversary of when the HD Double Pack of Final Fantasy X & X-2 was released in North America. It was nice to finally have a chance to experience the content that was previously only available on the International Version of the game (such as the Dark Aeons Side Quest).
I can't help but find it poetic how Toonami's DBZ Kai marathon to pay tribute to Akira Toriyama ended up airing on Toonami's 27th Year Anniversary.
Today marks the 10th Year Anniversary of when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) Two Parter, "The Manhattan Project" first premiered on TV (the online premiere was March 2nd of that year). Tiger Claw ended up becoming one of my favorite characters that debuted in this series.
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I figured I'd share my top 5 favorite ships from a work of fiction. In the end, I decided on Naruto and will post the list in the comment section.

My Top 5 favorite ships from Naruto are as follows:

    1. Naruto X Hinata
    2. Minato X Kushina
    3. Shikamaru X Temari
    4. Rock Lee X Tenten
    5. Konohamaru X Hanabi
Today marks the 30th Year Anniversary of Sonic 3. Knuckles the Echidna made for a great rival to Sonic, if you ask me. The "complete"/"true" version of the game (Sonic 3 & Knuckles) remains my favorite game in the franchise to this day.
To think that it was 6 years ago on this day when Stella Zhau made her "technical"/off-screen debut. It wouldn't be until August 2nd of that year when she made her "formal"/on-screen debut.
I ended up receiving the Nintendo Switch remake of Super Mario RPG as a Christmas gift this year. I never had the chance to play the Super Nintendo version of the game but I had heard many good things about it and look forward to giving the remake a try.
With the news that One Piece will be receiving the "DBZ Kai Treatment", I can't help but wonder if/when Naruto will be receiving the "DBZ Kai Treatment".
There's a big difference between "having an opinion" and "being opinionated", if you ask me.

I have a problem with neither.

I acknowledge that this is likely one of those situations that can ultimately boil down to a matter of semantics. In my experiences, "being opinionated" amounted to one using their opinions as an excuse to engage in needless cruelty towards others which is crossing the line. I trust that clarifies any potential misunderstandings.
Today marks the 5th Year Anniversary of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The 5th and most recent entry in Nintendo's All-Star Battle Royale Franchise certainly lives up to its name in my mind with its impressive roster.
Today marks the 21st Year Anniversary of (the "formal" premiere of) Codename: Kids Next Door. This series is one of (if not) my favorite Cartoon Network show(s) and I remain hopeful that Tom Warburton's wish for the sequel series to eventually see the light of day becomes a reality.
Today marks the 25th Year Anniversary of when Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released in North America. The series' first 3D game and the "connective tissue" for the series' timeline was my introduction to the Legend of Zelda Franchise and remains my favorite in the franchise to this day.
Today marks the 10th Year Anniversary of Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Lorule Kingdom is a fascinating concept that I would be open to seeing return in a future game in the series.

I actually played that game earlier this year, and I quite liked the gimmick of walking in a wall to travel and find other locations.
Happy 55th birthday to Sean Schemmel. He may not have been the first voice for Goku I heard but his portrayal is the one that I have come to associate with (Adult & Super Saiyan 4) Goku, along with King Kai/North Kai, Nail and Goku Black.
Today marks the 35th Year Anniversary of Oliver & Company. The Disney Animated Canon's last Bronze Age movie is one of my favorite Disney Movies.

IMO it's the true start of the Disney Renaissance, not so much in terms of quality, but due to its commercial success and the way it kickstarted the studio's annual release cycle

This film released on the same day Mickey had his 60th birthday.

It also came out the same day the original Land Before Time released in theaters.
Today marks the 20th Year Anniversary of Xiaolin Showdown. This was one of my favorite shows that originated from the KidsWB Block.
I can't help but find it surreal knowing that this year is the 25th Year Anniversary of Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. This direct-to-home release movie is one of my favorite entries within the Scooby-Doo Franchise.
