I was kind of expecting we'd see Yelena at some point .
Well, I guess there might be some value in seeing what Black Widow was like pre-character development. She might come off as a completely different character...Feige comments (but really just offers food for thought) on what the prequel will do for the MCU.
Perhaps. I mean, the only story left I really want to see was the one of how Natasha and Clint meeting for the first time and how their friendship grows from that.Well, I guess there might be some value in seeing what Black Widow was like pre-character development. I guess there's also the possibility they might confirm if there was more to Natasha and Bucky then what we've seen on-screen, although I think that's less likely...Perhaps. Seems perfect for a corrupt politician/businessman/Red Room executive .
So...maybe Yelena is Natasha's successor that she takes under her wing to try and free her from the Red Room brainwashing? Maybe Yelena turns on her at some point ?
Yeah, definitely feels they're aiming for a political/spy thriller genre and that's the kind of story outline you'd expect. I'm curious if the Red Room is even still active or did losing Widow secure its demise.So...maybe Yelena is Natasha's successor that she takes under her wing to try and free her from the Red Room brainwashing? I think it's either going to be the case of the Red Room surviving the Cold War/Soviet Union, a new organization basically picking up where they left off, or a new version of the Red Room altogether.Yeah, definitely feels they're aiming for a political/spy thriller genre and that's the kind of story outline you'd expect. True. I recall the Agent Carter series kind of addressed it in season one when it came to the Red Room because in the late 40s there was Leviathan, kind of what were led to believe was Russia's SHIELD and Red Room operated semi to independently of them but they were clearly affiliated with each other because they loaned Dottie Underwood to them then Carter and the Howlin' Commandos were manipulated by Leviathan into checking out a Red Room school-facility so they could plant someone who posed as a captive. They never got around to what happened to Leviathan. Both didn't seem to want to take over the world like HYDRA just work in it on the down low.I think it's either going to be the case of the Red Room surviving the Cold War/Soviet Union, a new organization basically picking up where they left off, or a new version of the Red Room altogether.
Of course in the long run, this being a prequel, they were probably a blip compared to SHIELD/Hydra .
With her belt logo in-between her codename. Fitting .
Well, I'd be surprised if they didn't do Budapest.
Let's hope that event eventually appears in the film.
