Series Description: New twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the Team. This series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based upon characters from DC Comics. Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman Doomsday, The Batman) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, W.I.T.C.H.) are the producers.

Thirtreen is the daughter of paranormal investigator Doctor Thirtreen. She can access the knowledge of cities she's in, fire mystical blasts, track auras, and control bodies for a short time. Donna Troy/Troia and Mary Bromfield/Sergeant Marvel were cut from the bridal shower in "Satisfaction" because it would have required four new designs and the crew was stretched too thin.
If Donna and Mary were designed, they would have appeared in "Endgame"

Lieutenant Marvel and Sergeant Marvel were originally considered to be on the Team in season 2
A Zatanna arc - a follow up between Zatanna, Zatara, and Dr. Fate
Donna Troy was originally planned to be used in season 1 but at the time, both her and Cassie Sandsmark were on the "can't use" list. By the time Geoff Johns became creative director and cleared them for use, it was too late. The next plan was have Donna cameo in season 2 but was cut for time and design constraints.

Thanks and that's cool that she's in more than one out of the first three episodes it seems . Hope we get to she her talk at somepoint as she usually makes quips in the comics . I kind of hope she along with Arrowette get a episode each that showcases them sometime this season . Like Artemis ,Miss Martian , and Wally got in S1 .

As for the other Milestone character coming, I'm curious if it's a villain like Alva since his Quantum Juice created the Big Bang in Dakota in the comics. Maybe he's behind the Tar on YJ?

I hadn't thought of the Milestone character being a villain but Alva would make a lot of sense. Good call.

My only pause with Alva is, does he fit in with the "Legacy" theme of YJ? As far as I know the animated version has children, but I personally lost track of the character in modern comics. He is not exactly a big bad in the DCU proper. However, with Static, Icon, and now Hardware, even though their origins may have changed, Alva would deserve a name drop. Especially with Hardware. We got a "Cooperative" name drop, so why not Alva.

Been awhile since I've posted here. I did the DC Universe free trial to catch up on Season 2. Is it always so low quality or does it get better after you pay? Could be the difference between sticking with the subscription and just checking back in in a few months. Thanks.

A bit disappointing to hear that Spoiler doesn't even speak in the first three episodes. I really wanted some good development for the Team as some of my favorite comic characters are in it

Weisman and Vietti have cited Batman and the Outsiders as an influence, we've got several characters from the team in the comics, etc. -- it dawned on me just now, but what if those G and Z designations are for members of the new black ops team (we saw those slides of Nightwing, Superboy, Tigress, and Black Lightning in dark wear back at SDCC) maybe even a version of the Outsiders? Maybe even composed of both members of the Justice League and the Team. Halo is a G so maybe those are the younger ones - probably Geo-Force and Forager, too, while Z is for the Leaguers? So far we know Katana is a Z. We saw that shot of Batman with Katana and Metamorpho in the trailer of them dropping to Santa Prisca. Hmm. (And no, I don't know the answer, I'm actually speculating here)

Likely, but aside from Savage,

at least two returning characters from a past season have been recast.

their role may be the subject of criticism by fans.

Well, if the Outsiders are a separate League extension then the Team is, I guess it makes sense they would have their own, unique, designations

Because of the Bane vs. Batman bit we saw in the trailer? heh. heh. Perhaps. But I'd love to see these 2 work together in the field.

I think I mentioned this before, but I kind of hope the infamous fight between Batman and Bane from the comics doesn't happen here. I wouldn't really want to see both Batman with a broken back and Oracle in the same Season... but I'd still watch it even if it happens.

But yeah, a Batman & Nightwing team-up would be pretty cool. I guess it might be too much to hope for a full episode focusing on the entire Bat-Family.

I haven't seen the episodes yet, but Greg Weisman said that the season would "PG 13 bordering on R" instead of "PG bordering PG 13", essentially meaning that it's like Samurai Jack season 5 in aiming specifically for those that grew up during the original run of the series. In other words, kid gloves are off.
