Finally, A Bit Of Moving Footage From Disney’s Moana

When you consider that Disney’s Moana comes out in less than a year, it’s surprising that we still haven’t seen very much of it. Their March feature, Zootopia, was already being promoted a year before its release date, but not so for this Polynesian princess. The best we can do are these brief shots from a Disney Channel promo spot.

This spot is only thirty seconds long and it spends more time focused on the live-action teenagers standing there than it does the movie. But this is the first time video clips from Moana have ever been seen anywhere. It’ll have to do for now.

Auli’i Cravalho voices the title character, and as the teens tell you, Dwayne Johnson plays the part of her beefy tattooed friend Maui. The movie is directed by Disney legends John Musker and Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and something about Treasure Island in space) and comes out November 23, 2016.
