Tvshowsondvd.com reports that Warner will release long awaited series Duck Dodgers on DVD with Duck Dodgers: Season 1 – Dark Side of the Duck on February 19, 2013. Based on the classic Chuck Jones short it chronicles Dodgers (Daffy Duck) and his sidekick The Eager Young Space Cadet (Porky Pig) trying to protect what’s left of the galaxy in the 241/2 century from The Matian Queen Tyr’ahnee and her top soldier, the Martian Commander X-2 (Marvin the Martian).
Duck Dogers was produced by Warner Brothers and aired on Cartoon Network in 2003. The show features the voices of Joe Alaskey (Plucky Duck from Tiny Toon Adventures) as Duck Dodgers, and the Martian Commander, Bob Bergen as The Eager Young Space Cadet, Tia Carrere (Wayne’s World, and Lilo & Stitch) as Queen Tyr’ahnee, Michael Dorn (Lt. Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation) as the Centurions, Richard McGonagle (Abin Sur in Green Lantern: First Flight) as Dr. I.Q. Hi, and John O’Hurley (Seinfeld, To Tell the Truth, and Family Feud) as Captain Star Johnson.
The two-disc set will contain all 13 episodes from season one as well as the classic Looney Tunes short Duck Dodgers in the 241/2 Century.
Duck Dodgers: Season 1 – Dark Side of the Duck will arrive in 21st century retailers on February 19, 2013.
