DreamWorks Names Michael Francis as First Chief Global Brand Officer

Reflecting the growing importance of the international market to Hollywood companies, DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc., named Michael Francis as its first Chief Global Brand Officer, with the newly created position responsible for the studio’s licensing and consumer products push. Francis will begin immediately at DreamWorks in a part-time capacity, going full-time in February 2013. He will be coming from Fairview Associates, a global branding firm which he founded, and has past stints as President of J.C. Penney and Executive VP/Chief Marketing Officer at Target.
