Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a movie that Dragon Ball fans have been waiting on for quite some time. Not the least of which is because it’s been years since the Broly movie as well as the end of the last arc of the Super anime. So, this movie has the potential to not only continue the Dragon Ball fun, but potential spearhead a lot more content. As well as potentially welcome a new way of doing the hit anime.
Because as you’ve hopefully seen, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be the first entry of the anime to do 3D animation that is very much in the style of Dragon Ball FighterZ. Meaning that unlike other Dragon Ball games, they’re trying to blur the line between 2D and 3D to give a different kind of experience.
Furthermore, the movie seems to be stating that Gohan is going to be the focal point of the film. This is based off of how the first true trailer fo the film show the Red Ribbon Army returning with two special androids called Gamma 1&2, and they attack Piccolo. Later on, we see Gohan fighting them while wearing part of Piccolo’s attire, indicating that he’s trying to get justice, or even avenge. His friend and father-figure.
Some new dialogue featuring these four characters have released, and they tease quite a bit.
As you can see, Gamma 1&2 aren’t perfectly in sync despite their being created by the Red Ribbon Army (a contrast to 17 & 18). Also, Piccolo teases that the great dragon Shenron is going to be summoned, but for what purpose is not known.
We still don’t have a release date for the film as of yet, but with more teases like this on the way, you can bet that fans are getting more and more excited for it to come out.
