Star Wars Rebels Darth Vader

Star Wars Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni has spoken to /Film about upcoming events in season 3 of the show (set to premiere on September 24, 2016). Mr. Filoni stated that for a variety of reasons, Darth Vader will not be returning to Star Wars Rebels any time soon, citing (among other things) the fact that crew of the Ghost really wouldn’t be able to stand up to him for very long, the (seeming) conclusion to the Anakin/Ahsoka relationship at the end of season 2, and the busy schedule of Vader voice actor James Earl Jones. He also discusses the role of the Inquisitors in the show and how they relate to the shift that will put Grand Admiral Thrawn as the major antagonist in the upcoming season.
