Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is going to be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie coming out this year. And based off of the “setup” that was given via Spider-Man No Way Home, things were known to be getting very chaotic. But now, a new trailer has arrived for the movie and we’re seeing that things are going to get very dark, and very fun, in all sorts of ways. Including possibly bridging the gaps between the OTHER Marvel universes we already know about.
Through this trailer we get a sense of what has been going on since No Way Home. Doctor Strange is having dreams of something, and that something is the Multiverse seeping through due to the spells he cast in No Way Home.
And now, the “nightmares” are coming true and he has to try and fix it…if that’s even possible.
Another thing that is very interesting here is the number of characters both past, present, and future that show up. We already know about Baron Mordo and Scarlet Witch showing up, as well as the debut of America Chavez. However, other characters that appear to show up is Ultron (via some of his bots), the Illuminati (a secret group from Marvel Comics lore that Strange was a part of), the Marvel Zombies, and more.
Oh, and speaking of the Illuminati, we hear the very distinct voice of Patrick Stewart, which may mean that Professor X is getting his MCU debut here!
This is on top of over the top battles, conflicts of logic (see: Scarlet Witch being mad about what some have said about her via Westview) and more.
And you can bet that this movie is still hiding a great many secrets, which we’ll learn more about when Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness comes out May 6th!
