Fan produced ‘Doctor Who’ stop motion series Doctor Puppet has announced an Indiegogo campaign to help produce a musical Christmas special this year. The ongoing series focuses on the Eleventh Doctor (the current incarnation at the time of the series start) on a quest to find out who is abducting his past incarnations from time, with the stop motion animation partnered with music and minor narration. The episodes are a collaboration between fans on both sides of the Atlantic and have been acknowledged by the official Doctor Who production team.
The campaign hopes to raise $15,000 in order to make this year’s annual Christmas special a more lavish musical starring the current Twelfth Doctor and his companion Clara Oswald. As is usual for crowdfunding efforts there are tiered donation amounts which offer a range of exclusive perks, including the chance to meet the crew at New York Comic Con Sunday 12th October.
