Disney/Fox Deal Expected To Close In March

When is the Disney/Fox closing? When will they start making movies with the new properties?

The Disney/Fox has been dominating headlines for basically a year, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. In short, Disney agreed to pay a hefty some of cash to buy out Fox and all of its properties and IP across TV and movies (among other things). Despite some hurtles, a report from Variety is claiming that the deal will officially close in March.

To ensure this, Disney is apparently agreeing to not buy some of the things they don’t need, like Fox News, certain sports channels, and more. Which is fair because that will give them what they need without of the hassle of being called a “monopoly” (which is what slowed them down in the first place).

Many expect the start of the new Marvel films with the X-Men, Deadpool, Fantastic Four and more to begin work this year sometime. Which likely means that certain projects like X-Force, Gambit, and Doom are going to be canceled or reassed.
