British writer Diana Wynne Jones passed away on March 26, 2011 from cancer at the age of 76. Jones’ many novels included the Chrestomanci series, the Derkholm series, the Dalemark quartet of novels, and the Castle series. The first Castle novel, Howl’s Moving Castle, was adapted into an animated feature film by Hayao Miyazaki in 2004.
