Crisis On Infinite Earths Pulls Off Major DCEU Cameo

Crisis On Infinite Earths

Last night, the final two episodes of Crisis on Infinite Earths, dubbed “the biggest crossover ever” happened, and the final episodes definitely lived up to the hype. Having big battles, big twists, big universe shifts, and more. But at the end of the day, the thing that most people are talking about is a singular cameo known to some as #FlashFlash. Or, “Flash Meets Flash”. Still confused? I’ll explain.

In the Arrowverse, Grant Gustin plays Barry Allen, aka The Flash. He’s been doing so for years and is the second-longest series in the Arrowverse behind Arrow which is ending this year in two episodes time. Meanwhile, Ezra Miller has been The Flash of the DCEU movie universe, and has been that since Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice. He had a cameo in Suicide Squad, and was in Justice League. Also, he’s finally getting his solo movie in 2021.

But before that, he had a delightful cameo in Crisis on Infinite Earths. In which he met the TV Barry Allen and totally had a freakout. They both did, and it was fun. The two talked about the plusses of each others costumes, with Ezra noting that Grant’s looked “breathable” while Grant noted that Ezra’s felt “safe”.

Eventually, Ezra faded away via the Speedforce, but not before a totally epic geek moment happened. Ironically enough, when Ezra Miller was officially cast as The Flash for the DCEU, he did an interview stating that he would love to do a scene with Grant Gustin, noting that it’s the Speedforce and that the ‘event horizon’ could work in their favor, and it did.

Fans freaked out about it, especially since NO ONE teased or leaked that it was coming. Including Grant Gustin who posted this other photo of them together:

In case you’re wondering, the cameo was SO SECRET that many other major members of the Arrowverse didn’t know about it. Including Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), Brandon Routh (The Atom/Superman) and more.
