The Boston Globe has posted a humorous 16-page guide to Aeon Flux, tracing its evolution from animated shorts on MTV’s Liquid Television to a half-hour show to a live-action movie starring Charlize Theron in the title role. The Complete Aeon Flux was just released on DVD, and the movie opens this Friday, December 2.

(UPDATED: Toon Zone poster Martianinvader linked to a larger and slightly expanded single-page version of the guide available on CulturePulp.com, the weblog of Mike Russell, the comic’s creator.)

Donning battle armor fashioned from spilled chemicals splashed by lightning, he becomes the Sensational Shield of Sequential Art ACE THE BATHOUND! Look, it sounds a lot better than the truth.
