Warner Bros. Animation has released a clip, stills, and plot synopsis from the series premiere of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, the latest animated incarnation of Hanna-Barbera’s famous mystery-solving Great Dane and his coterie of meddling kids (without whom I totally would have gotten away with it). “Mystery 101” will premiere on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 7:00 PM/6:00 PM Central, on Cartoon Network.

The Scooby gang is back with a modern comedic twist on the beloved classic. High School is over and the gang has one last summer to live it up. They’re on the road in the Mystery Machine, chasing fun and adventure. But monsters and mayhem keep getting in the way.

This time, the gang is working as hard to solve their own personal problems as they are to solve the endless, mind-bending mysteries that await them.

In the series premiere episode, Velma’s got an interview at the prestigious Kingston University, the most selective school in the country. The only catch? The dean wants her and the rest of the Scooby gang to figure out why the ghost of Elias Kingston, the school’s founder, is haunting Kingston’s book-filled halls!
