An article in Bloomberg News takes note of a new cross-marketing initiative between Time Warner Inc. and the PGA of America to promote golf to youths, possibly to develop golf-themed cartoon characters, shows, and licensed products. According to the article, Cartoon Network “will also produce licensed, co-branded apparel targeted at kids and create youth-marketed events, such as contests and sweepstakes, in various cities,” although neither Time Warner or the PGA had specifics on how the deal would develop.
