Cartoon Network Announces New Seasons of Returning Series


Cartoon Network announced plans for new and returning series at the Television Critics Association meeting in North Hollywood today. Among the highlights:

* Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends will debut a new season of episodes on Friday, January 21, at 7:00pm (ET/PT).
* Ed, Edd n Eddy will premiere “Hanky Panky Hullabaloo,” a new 30-minute special, on Friday, February 11, at 7:30pm (ET, PT). In the special, Edd and May Kanker will spend the school day yearning for one another’s company.
* Totally Spies and Atomic Betty will return on Sunday, March 6, with new seasons of episodes. Totally Spies will air at 8:00pm (ET/PT). Atomic Betty will follow at 8:30pm.
* Judd Winick’s The Life and Times of Juniper Lee will debut on Sunday, June 5, at a time to be announced later.

The network also announced early 2005 programming highlights for Adult Swim:

* Fullmetal Alchemist will unveil a new season of episodes on Saturday, February 12, at 11:30pm (ET/PT). Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex will return the same night at midnight.
* Seth McFarlane’s American Dad will debut on Sunday, February 13, at 11:30pm (ET/PT), just one week after its debut on broacast network Fox.
* Sealab 2021 will return with a new season on Sunday, March 6.
* Tom Goes to The Mayor will premiere new episodes on Sunday, April 17.
* Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, will debut a new season in July.
