Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta Held Over An Extra Day

black ops 3 beta

If you own a Playstation 4, have access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta and you still haven’t sat down to play it, it’s not too late. Developer Treyarch Studios has extended the beta’s runtime one extra day. Originally it was scheduled to end last night, but they’ve decided to be nice.

The beta’s level cap was raised to 34 two days ago, a level they’ve titled “Major” and awarded with special weapons, equipment, perks and scorestreaks. The  beta also includes access to eight maps, one of which was added to the beta midway through playtesting. Titled “Stronghold”, it’s described as “a high-tech Swiss chateau in the frozen Alps, featuring an asymmetrical design with a lethal mix of exposed sightlines and tight, close quarters.”

Today they’re increasing the level cap to 40 and testing out another brand new mode called Safeguard. This is an “attack and defend” mode that will test a team’s ability to coordinate their action.

The multiplayer includes access to eight Specialists. There will also be a new Specialist accessible to those who can reach level 34 before time runs out: a robot named Reaper. If you can make it even further, you’ll unlock another Specialist at level 40 called Spectre.

A new mode was also added to the beta called Uplink. In this mode, players face off in an effort to take control of a downed satellite and get it into the enemy’s goal. Today is your final day to mess with it.

Once the beta is gone, it’s gone. Get moving and see how far you can climb and how much you can access before Treyarch pulls the plug.
