Black Ops 3’s Nuketown Liberated For All Users

Before Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was due to come out last November, Activision offered the Nuketown multiplayer map as an incentive. Only those who held preorders would be allowed to step back into the classic map from Black Opses gone past.

That lasted about five months. Nuk3town has now been unlocked for everyone to use, and not only that, it’s free of charge. The offer extends to all current-gen versions of the game: Playstation 4, XBox One and PC. Nuk3town is based on the Nuketown map from the original Black Ops, only rendered more colorfully since the entire Black Ops 3 game is set in the future.

You not only get Nuk3town free, you get some additional add-ons free as well: the Nuk3town personalization pack. Inside you will find a Nuk3town-themed weapon camo and reticles, plus a Nuketown themed calling card.

To celebrate Nuk3town’s new open status, developer Treyarch has launched a 24/7 playlist featuring only Nuk3town, and the map will show up in rotation in a number of other playlists as well.
