Beavis And Butt-Head Do The Universe Set For June 23 Premiere

beavis and butt-head do the universe

Huh-huh. Check out this trailer, or something.

America’s dumbest teens are about to expand their reach beyond just this country and into the cosmos. Their first film, Beavis And Butt-Head Do America, was released all the way back in 1996 but to them, it was just yesterday. They were just teleported all the way from the 90s to the present day, and as for how THAT happened, you can just blame a NASA engineer who is probably getting fired.

The story initially takes place in 1998 when a judge “creatively” sentences the pair to Space Camp. You already guessed from the title where this is going so we’ll cut to the chase and confirm that yes, they wind up launching the space shuttle with only themselves inside. But the shuttle takes them inside a black hole, and spacetime spits them out in present day, where they return to Earth. From there, B&B will gawk at the marvels of 21st century life, and according to the original synposis, “look for love, misuse iPhones, and [be] hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don’t score.”

Just in case there was some confusion there, a more up-to-date synopsis was just released by Paramount alongside the trailer. It clarifies: “They almost lose their virginity, but don’t.”

The trailer suggests that B&B will meet the current governor of Texas (with which they have a lot in common) and, somehow, a highly intelligent version of themselves from a parallel universe. Among other things, the film will prove that there is no object, concept or theoretical formula in the entire universe Beavis and Butt-Head can’t divine a lazy innuendo from.

And after this, there’s more: a revival of Beavis and Butt-Head has been ordered for two seasons at Paramount+. That should guarantee weird chuckle sounds for far longer than B&B’s last revival, on MTV in 2011.
