We Bare Bears Goes Mobile

Can Cartoon Network stars conquer the world of mobile gaming the same way they dominated television? That’s the hope of CN’s new partnership with Korean developer SundayToz, and what’s the first property they’re adapting? It consists of Grizz, Panda and Ice Bear.

The exact title of the game hasn’t been decided yet, but it’s described as a “free match 3-style and city-builder game” which will utilize stories and videos from the We Bare Bears series. It looks like there will also be some sort of competitive mode, as well as a leaderboard where friends can challenge each another.

“It’s exciting to partner with SundayToz on a new global mobile game for We Bare Bears,” said Chris Waldron, Vice President of Cartoon Network Digital Products and Games. They connect with the fun, light-hearted tone of the series; and we know they’ll deliver a game our fans won’t want to put down.”

Phil Nelson, Turner’s Managing Director for North Asia and Southeast Asia Pacific, added: “We are extremely pleased to be working with a world-class game developer like SundayToz. Developing this product here in Asia for an international market is a great example of global collaboration.”

SundayToz is most known in their home country for creating the successful “Anipang” series of games. Their products have been downloaded over 82 million times. The We Bare Bears game is expected to launch globally in early 2018.
