What will the runtime of Avengers Endgame be? Will it be longer than Infinity War?
Avengers Endgame is without a doubt the biggest movie coming out this year (save for maybe the next Star Wars) and because of that, everyone wants to know how long it’ll be to complete the story. Directors the Russo Brothers confirmed to Collider that they think it might be 3 hours long, and they have a good reason for that.
“I think the studio is down with whatever the best story is,” Joe Russo told Collider. “Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great response from our test audiences, and we’re feeling very good about where it is.”
“That’s a lot of storytelling to work into it and emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us and, when you have to tell a really complicated story andyou want strong emotional moments for the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate,” he explained.
The notion of an intermission was brought up, and the Russos noted that during four screens of the film, only once did someone get up to go to the bathroom. So that’s likely not going to happen.
The film release April 26th.
