TVShowsOnDVD.com has revealed that Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Entertainment are preparing a 7-disc Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Complete Book 1: Collector’s Edition DVD set, slated for release on June 10, 2010, to capitalize on the live-action movie The Last Airbender directed by M. Night Shymalan. No information on bonus features or pricing is available at this time.

TVShowsOnDVD is also reporting that the original Avatar single-disc DVD releases will be re-released in bundled packaging with two volumes per release. The report states that “they are exactly the same releases as before,” although the original book 1 releases came on five DVDs, meaning it will either be excluded from the bundles or one bundle will have 3 DVDs in it.
