The upcoming film adaptation of Ubisoft’s popular “Assassin’s Creed” video game series has added veteran actor Jeremy Irons [“Reversal of Fortune” and “The Lion King”] to the cast. Irons Michael Fassbender will play the lead role in the film, joined by Marion Cotillard in a co-starring role. For the film, Irons will play Fassbender’s character’s father while Brendan Gleeson – who was also added to the cast – will play Cotillard’s character’s father.
Filming begins this month and “Assassin’s Creed” is currently scheduled to be released on December 21, 2016.
