Animated "Dukes" Coming to DVD from Warner Archive (UPDATED 11/20 w/Pre-Order Offer)


Tvshowsondvd.com reports that the animated version of The Dukes of Hazzard is coming to DVD in The Dukes: The Complete Series.

The Duke Boys and their cousin Daisy are in a race around the world against Boss Hogg & Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane in order to win the prize money to save the Duke’s farm.

The Dukes was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in association with Warner Brothers Television. The cartoon aired on CBS in 1983, and features of voices of Dukes of Hazzard actors Tom Wopat as Luke, John Schneider as Bo, Byron Cherry as Coy, Christopher Mayer as Vance, Catherine Bach as Daisy, Sorrell Booke as Boss Hogg, James Best as Rosco, and Denver Pyle as Uncle Jesse. Also starring Frank Welker as Flash, Smokey, and the General Lee.

All 20 episodes will be featured in a box set. However, it won’t be available in stores. It can only be purchased by Warner Bros. exclusive manufacture-on-demand (MOD) program. The set will be released on November 30, 2010.

: Warner Archive has announced that the first 400 preorders for The Dukes animated series will be autographed by James Best, who played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane on the original TV show and in the animated series. Limit 1 per customer; pre-order the series now at the Warner Store.
