Adult Swim Greenlights Action-packed New Animated Series – Hot Streets will Debut in 2017

March 30, 2017 – Adult Swim, who continues to dominate the ratings and remains the #1 in basic cable with millennials for more than a decade, announces the action-packed new animated series that will premiere in the fall, Hot Streets. This new series continues the network’s commitment to producing new and innovative programming for its fans.

Hot Streets is produced by the dynamic Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the team behind Robot Chicken. First-time animated series creator, Brian Wysol (writer on Rick and Morty and Robot Chicken) brings Hot Streets to screen.

Brian said, “Rick and Morty was my first professional writing job. My contributions were minimal, but I consider the experience an intense lesson on storytelling and it had a great effect on the way I ran the writers room. Hot Streets is sometimes psychedelic, sometimes crazy, but i think the most interesting thing about it is that it’s ultimately character driven. From the beginning, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios was vigilant in preserving my vision for the show, and it’s been an amazing collaboration.“

FBI Agent Mark Branski, his partner, his niece, and her dog, investigate supernatural phenomena. The quarter-hour animated science fiction adventure series is created by Brian Wysol (Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken). Seth Green, Matt Senreich, John Harvatine IV, and Eric Towner (Robot Chicken), Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty) and Wysol are serving as executive producers. Produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios.

Crash-landing in the forgotten land of Hubba Hubba, he is discovered by the Who-You-Callin'-Ancient One and his lovely wife Pookie. Instilled with their traditional American values, he spends his young adulthood roaming the globe, learning all the secrets of Comic-Fu. Donning battle armor fashioned from spilled chemicals splashed by lightning, he becomes the Sensational Shield of Sequential Art ACE THE BATHOUND! Look, it sounds a lot better than the truth. Throughout high school, college, grad school, and gainful employment, two things have remained constant: 1) I am a colossal nerd, and 2) I have spent far too much time reading comics, and then reading and writing about them. Currently working as a financial programmer in New York City, while continuing to discover all the wonderful little surprises (and expenses) of owning your a home in the suburbs. Shares the above with a beautiful, wonderful, and incredibly understanding wife named Frances (who, thankfully, participates in most of my silly hobbies) and a large furry dog named Brownie (who, sadly, does not).
