20th Century Fox has released the first full official trailer for Blue Sky Studios’ upcoming film The Peanuts Movie today. While the teaser trailer released in March features Charlie Brown and Snoopy the new video spotlights Snoopy and Woodstock, one of Snoopy’s fantasized dogfights against the Red Baron, and a brief look at the entire Peanuts gang with some physical humor at Charlie Brown’s expense.
Coverage at USA Today, citing producer Paul Feig, indicates that Snoopy’s brother Olaf, his love Fifi and a group of Beagle Scouts will appear in the film. It was previously confirmed that the movie would include the entire group from Charles M. Schulz’s original comics and past Peanuts television specials, as well as the Little Red-Haired Girl that Charlie Brown is smitten with.
The Peanuts Movie is dated for theatrical release on November 6, 2015 to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip. Steve Martino (Horton Hears a Who!, Ice Age: Continental Drift) is directing the film, which features a score from Christophe Beck (Frozen, Paperman) and a screenplay written by Craig Schulz, his son Bryan Schulz and Cornelius Uliano.
